Atomium & Mini-Europe, Brussels
Today we conquered Atomium..WHAT?!?! WHAT?!?!?…Atomium (read this like a robot). We woke up and headed out on the Metro and we conquered Atomium. What is Atomium you ask??? Google it. In a nutshell it is a gigantic atomic molecule that you can ride up in escalators and elevators for a 365 degree view of Belgium….
Back to Brussels & Bruges (Sept 12-13)
Hamburg, Germany Wrap-Up Just a few points to mention that my lovely wife missed before wrapping up Hamburg and back to discovering additional Belgium adventures….Well, Hamburg was a success!! There for work, I was able to attend SMM – the biggest International Maritime show held in the world, once every 2 years in Hamburg, Germany….
Catching Up, Brussels to Hamburg, Germany with Koln in Between (September 7-11)
September 7 – Sunday – FundayToday we set out on a journey that was not completed the day before. On this day we conquered the Belgium Beer Festival. It was held in the olde market square which was fitting because it is in front of the old brewers hall and museum circa 1600’s. In any case, we happily…
No Power – Castle Lights Are Out!!!
So we are typing by candle light, no power, running on min battery here. Crazy fun day culminating in mommy vacuuming and blowing out the circuits of the building we are staying in. We have no power and say cheers to passing out the good ol’ fashion way, by the sun going down. We found…
Parade-A-Palooza
We’re not quite sure if you checked out those links from yesterday, but today we found out, they were everything they were cracked up to be. Boom, it’s Friday night (our time) and two little children are passed out snug in their beads, while Mommy and Daddy have a Luxembourg Riesling, Timmerman’s Lambicus and Chocolate Truffles…
Metro Meandering, Tram/Train Potty Training, Waffle Wandering & Brussels Beer’magedon
What a day! First and foremost, a few fact checks on the below: 1) It was not foggy on arrival, I think mommy had a fog from her lack of sleep. She is correct in that the kids slept like angels, and we did not. Although, I’m not sure how that happen. I was the…
Brussels: Let the Adventure Begin – Good Bye Summer – Hello Fall!
We left Virginia and it was 96 degrees. When we landed it was about 65 degrees and foggy in Belgium. Our plane departed Norfolk on Labor Day. Due to a few delays we were lucky enough to get upgraded to first class on the first leg of our trip. We flew overnight from New Jersey and…
Last post for Ireland.
Alright, just to piggy back on what Michael wrote before with regards to our last trip to Ireland…Babe, looking at birds???? There was no bird watching-that was a FALCON! FALCON TRAINING. Now they did not get to participate in that but we did watch archery training, ran around the gardens, fed swans, played with giant…
2013 Ireland Wrap-Up and 2014 Pre-Eurotour Packing
Seems like we can never quite finish a trip blog, as mentioned on previous Euro tours, it’s probably because we never want the trip to officially end. Below are a few of the last day pics from October 2013 from our Ireland Adventure. Long story, short, it ended up being a beautiful day after raining…
