Nov. 14th – Dublin to Trim to Kilkenny

Polishing off a few more sights to see in Dublin, it was then time to hit the countryside. Similar to last year, we rented a car and headed north, first to Trim and then south to Kilkenny. Luckily, we had just blazed this trail not long ago, so it was easy sailing. We introduced Nona and Grandaddy Z to Trim Castle, Kilkenny Castle and a remote B&B right outside the city. Believe it or not, from memory alone, we found the same B&B from last year. The owners remembered us and were shocked to see us in that as always in Ireland, we did not call ahead. They were actually selling the B&B and in the process of shutting it down for the season. They referred us to a friend right around the corner and once again we landed softly for the night!
