We woke up early and were out the door. We stopped off at the same beach we found last year, Derrynane Beach. It is off the beaten path of the ring and the owner of the B and B from last year told us about it. It is absolutely gorgeous. There are sand dunes, sea grass, clear blue green water and waves, rocks, and an old cemetery with ruins of an old Abby. They kids had fun running and playing in the sand and Nona and Grand Daddy Z explored the old Abby. After we finished the ring we continued on to Bunratty. We toured the castle and the village but it was getting dark. At the last moment, on a whim, Nona decided to treat us to the medieval dinner and show at the castle that evening. I have to say it was one of the coolest things we have done! Sienna was in awe with all of the princesses, the queen, and the lords and ladies. The kids loved the music and the food. This was a wonderful experience and my heart melts at the happiness that my children had at that castle dinner. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. It starts at 5:30 and is $50/person. Children are free. This is a 4 course meal with wine and drinks. It was over by 8pm and was well worth the money and time. That night we went to the same hotel we stayed in the year before and luckily found rooms for all of us.
Ha! We went to that same dinner and loved it too! They put on a good show. It was a full house when we were there and I manged to get a relatively good seat facing the show, some had to sit with their backs or sides facing it and they all got kinks in their necks! I to would recommend it! Tom Duckett
