Jet lag – kicked our butt today and got us off to a late/relaxing start. We were up kind of early (9ish) and the kids were like rock stars, sleeping past 10! I had a crazy drive into the city looking for the air show which had me twisting and turning through downtown Paris, saw the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Champ De Elysees (not on purpose of course). After directions from a nice rich French Parisian lady, I was well on my way to the air show.

A great day at work and tons of new connections later I was head home. I found the family happy and exhausted from a long day of exploring the gardens, petting our new-found friend, the horse (deemed Fluffy by the kids) and apparently an entire day of swimming in the pool. With a quick dip, an exquisite dinner of chicken and veggies and cos-cos it was time for us all to go to bed. Unfortunately, and new for Weatherly Travels (first time in the EU in the summer), it doesn’t get dark until after 10pm. What the heck?!?!?! The kids finallllllllyyyyy passed out and we were on the laptops checking email, working and catching up on this fine blog.

We have to say, French country life is pretty fantastic!!!!
